SLIP 'N SLIDE ACTION

Room 6 set up a slip and slide course for us. The aim was to stay on your feet and make it into the paddling pool at the end. Not easy when you are being whacked with foam noodles! We had a great time - thanks Room 6!

CAMP SAFETY SKITS

As part of our preparation for camp, we are learning how to stay safe whilst tramping and enjoying the great outdoors. We have learned how to prevent, recognise, and treat hypothermia, and what to do in the unlikely even that there is a serious injury. We created skits to show what we would do if a student suffered a serious leg injury on a tramp. Here are some photos of the action:

PET DAY

In the week before pet day, we put our artistic skills into practice by creating flower vases out of jars and bottles. We paper mached the glass and then created an outdoor scene by painting an background and sticking on objects. We also created greeting cards by printing ink designs carved into foam meat trays. Congratulations to all the prizewinners on the day! A number of Room 5 students entered animals in various competitions, and had lots of success here too.

CROSS COUNTRY

We had perfect conditions for this years cross-country, some rain the day before made the creek crossing extra mushy for us! Room 5 students performed superbly, with everyone completing the 3 lap course. Congratulations to Willow and Georgia who have been selected in the year 6 and 7 school team to compete at Hunterville!
